Residence Hall Phone Service Information
Beginning in May 2006, phone service in the residence halls will be optional. Individual rooms will no longer come with an activated phone in the room; residents will be able to rent phone service from Housing Services. The cost to rent phone service in one’s room is $70 per semester; voice mail is $15 per semester. The cost of activation is $30. Summer rates will be $0.53/day for phone and $0.10/day for voice mail.
Residents choosing room phone service need to request it online using the form on this page. Room phones will still be in each room, but will not work until a resident requests that the phone service be activated, and agrees to the terms required to rent phone service.
