Fraternity and Sorority Life

WSU is host to more than 50 fraternities and sororities. Nearly 40 of these chapters own or rent houses adjacent to campus near The Student Bookstore, which is commonly known as The Bookie. Others are either non-residential in nature, or choose not to allow first year students to reside in the house. Fraternity and sorority affiliated students make up approximately 17% of the undergraduate population, a high percentage for a state University

Students seeking membership in fraternities and sororities can find a "place to belong", scholastic emphasis, community service opportunities, a group of close friends, and so much more. This is true regardless of whether or the chapter members live in house, or the residence halls, or across the community.
