What furniture comes with the room?
All rooms have closets, twin beds, small chests of drawers, desks,
and lamps.
How long are the bed frames?
The bed frames are 40"W by 84"L.
What size sheets should I buy for my bed?
How much space is under the bed?
Either 5" or 8" depending on how you turn the bed.
Can I use a bed riser in my room to raise the bed off the floor to gain storage space under the bed?
Yes.
What are the dimensions of the closets?
These vary dramatically by room, and are built into the walls. Generally,
they will be 2’ deep, but the width varies.
What are the dimensions of the desks?
The desks are 40’W by 31"H by 24" deep, with 1 drawer
and 2 shelves.
Can a computer monitor fit on the desk?
What are the dimensions of the dressers?
Either 41"W by 34"H by 20" deep, with 3 drawers,
or 30"W by 45"H by 17" deep, with 5 drawers.
Do the rooms come with chairs?
Should we bring a surge protector?
How many outlets are there?
Typically 6, with a different outlet box on 3 of the 4 walls in
the room.
Can I bring my own furniture and store the University furniture
somewhere else in the hall?
You can bring small furniture items and store small furniture items
from your room. You cannot store your bed or desk.
Is my room carpeted?
No.
Are there shelves in the room? What are the dimensions
of the shelves?
There is no shelving, however, there is plenty of space on the chest
of drawers and desk to place your items.

What are the dimensions of my room?
Duncan/Dunn has a number of different room types varying in shape,
size, and whether they were designed for one person or two. All
of the rooms have sinks. Here is a listing of the room types, dimensions,
and window measurements. Windows are approximately 3’ W by
5’ H, in rooms where no measurement has been taken.

Duncan/Dunn has a pool table, large screen television, and limited
weight equipment in the hall.
Where can I do my laundry? How much do the washers and
dryers cost?
Laundry facilities are located in the basement of Duncan/Dunn. These facilities are covered in your room and board rates as a washer/dryer fee.
How are the bathrooms arranged in Duncan/Dunn?
There are two bathrooms on each floor of the hall. There are two
to three showers and three bathroom stalls in each bathroom.
Are there study lounges in Duncan/Dunn?
There are study lounges located on each floor of Duncan/Dunn Hall.

The closest residential dining facility is Hillside Cafe right across the street in Wilmer/Davis.
