Yakama Village

Yakama Village is the newest family housing complex and was built in the mid 90's. There are one, two and three bedroom apartments in either a flat (living area all on one floor), or townhouse (living room, kitchen and dining room downstairs; bedrooms and bathroom upstairs) style. Yakama is the only complex where there are washer and dryer hook-up located in certain apartments. One bedroom townhouse and all of the two and three bedroom apartments have hook-ups. Each apartment has its own patio or deck. Located on the deck/patio is a lockable storage closet for the resident to use. The university provides cable TV, water, sewer and garbage. The resident is responsible for electricity, phone and internet service. Yakama is the only apartment complex connected to the university Ethernet. Yakama is also the only complex that has individual natural gas furnaces and hot water heaters in all one, two and three bedroom apartments. The average utility bill is $50 per month. Yakama is located on the south side of campus and is a 10-minute walk to the center of campus.
