
Kamiak Apartments
Kamiak was built in the early 1960's and contains one hundred apartments. These apartments are equally split between one and two bedroom units. All the one-bedroom apartments are located in one area and the two bedrooms in another. Kamiak is a moderately priced apartment complex which is located on the North Side of campus. It is about a 15-minute walk to the center of campus with city bus stop right next to the complex. Overall the apartments in Kamiak and Terrace are the smallest of all the apartments in Family Housing. New windows and siding which was completed in the summer of 1999 has improved the livability of this complex. Each apartment has extra storage located next to the laundry rooms. The university pays for cable TV, water, sewer, garbage and individual apartment heat. The resident is responsible for electricity, phone and internet service. The average electrical cost is $25 per month.
