Residence Hall Parking Information
Resident Parking
Since most halls have limited space to which motor vehicles may be assigned, the priority parking system facilitates the selection of the students who will receive priority parking.
As students check into the hall, each one who operates a motor vehicle requests priority parking by completing a priority point form. Special information e.g, number of years in the hall, class standing, etc.) is obtained and assignments are made on a seniority basis.
The Assistant Director of Residence Life will allocate the number of priority parking spaces assigned to each hall. Each residence hall will then allocate the spaces to students within the hall. Allocation of spaces is hall specific and is coordinated by the hall government and the Hall Staff. Students who do not receive priority parking must park in either the Rogers-Orton lot or the overflow lot by the Beasley Coliseum (all are blue lots).
Motorcycles, Mopeds, and Bicycles
Motorcycles, mopeds, and other gasoline-powered machines may not be taken into the residence halls at any time. Any gas-powered vehicles found in a residence hall will be removed. The owner (resident) will be assessed a removal charge. WSU Housing Services accepts no responsibility or liability for damage done during removal or storage. Bicycles may be parked either in bicycle racks or in student rooms with consent of the roommate. Bicycles parked in or near any other part of the residence hall may be removed without notice.
